1. What is an online campus?

You may have heard of Web-based training, online training, online learning, or distance education. An online campus is the same thing: a virtual classroom, with or without an instructor present at all times, that students attend via computer. This method of instructional delivery affords flexibility and is especially ideal for students whose limited availability and physical location interfere with or prevent them from attending classes in a traditional classroom with an instructor. Writestyle's Online Campus continues our commitment to educating our customers at convenient locations and times and, following the events of September 11, 2001, responds to some trainers' and many customers' wishes to avoid traveling via aircraft for training purposes. Our online model for continuing education is our most convenient offering yet, reaching students at the safety and comfort of their workplaces, homes, and laptops.

2. How does Writestyle's Online Campus work?

Students will choose a course, pay for the course, and receive a password to enter their course. Then, they will receive access to the course for a 14-day period (beginning from the moment their payment clears). Each course includes all the necessary information and may advise the use of certain tools, such as dictionaries and rulers.

3. Does online learning suit everyone's style?

No. Some students need personal instruction and instant feedback from an instructor within a traditional classroom. Others may have special needs. Writestyle developed its Online Campus to respond to the needs of corporate, nonprofit, and individual clients, especially those who wish to train at their availability and convenience from their home bases. Good candidates for online classes are students who are self-motivated, self-disciplined, and independent. From employees who rarely can leave the office for a full day of training and professionals who travel frequently, to students in remote locations and even people who are preparing to re-enter the workforce, the flexibility and convenience of online learning can make all the difference.

4. Are Writestyle's Online Campus classes set at a certain pace?

No. That's another great feature of your 14-day access to our campus. Your course is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from the moment your payment clears. Work at your own pace, without the pressures and constraints of the traditional classroom. Within, and after, you finish a section you can use the exercises, quizzes, or tests to check how well you've learned the material. 5. I don't know much about computers. Will that prevent me from taking online classes?

No. Required knowledge of computers is minimal, and instructions within the courses are clear and frequent. So long as you know how to use your computer, how to navigate the Web with your Internet browser, and how to save, retrieve, and print files you should have no trouble in accessing and completing your courses.
